Textiles
Our exclusive selection of textiles comes from suppliers worldwide who are committed to providing safe manufacturing and work environments for their workers. Our dyes are low impact and meet ISO and ICHEA requirements, as well as Oekotex standards which make them safe for use around babies, children and pets. GreenPodTM interiors are in complete harmony with the Earth from organic fiber to the finished product. We specialize in sustainable textiles that are derived from certified organic cotton, hemp, plantation grown bamboo, bio-wool and other natural materials. For example “Ploughboy Organics” Onatah Fibers uses tobacco plants to make eco-conscious fabrics.
Our GreenPodTM Intelligent Environment interior options include our exquisite home furnishings: bed linens, bath towels, robes, shower curtain and bath accessories, and area carpets. Our exclusive Mary Cordaro Organic Mattress collection includes duvet and pillows with the option for Forest Stewardship Certified (FSC) wood furniture in the living, dining and bedroom areas. Our exclusive window shades and draperies provide optimum privacy and sun protection.

So we’ve taken a proactive role by including in each Pod energy-efficient appliances, heating sources, lighting, low flow toilets, sinks, and showers. Vicki Beaver is a Building Biologist, Green Consultant & Environmental Educator. Building Biology is the science that studies how buildings affect our health, and the application of this knowledge in the design and construction of new buildings, renovations or remediation. Building Biology helps fix sick buildings and alleviate health problems associated with them. With ever-increasing levels of allergies, asthma, autism, cancers and other illnesses in our lives, we must begin to find the sources instead of merely treating the maladies. Everything from the building materials in our homes, household cleaning products under our sinks, personal care products on our bodies and the food and water we consume today contain levels of toxic I’ve seen many problem with Mold Mildew and Bacteria where it is much more unhealthy to be inside that outside. In the Greenpods we have paid attention to all sources of problems. Carpet free room and wall mounted toilets and faucets ,solid surface are part of the easy clean way to elevate dampness sources. Ventilation is key however the heating and cooling further eliminate mold and mildew . The naturalClay wall are anti macrobial and support cleaner air. Products using Formaldehyde and other toxins are not used. Smart design also eliminates gas, or carbon monoxide leaking into the spaces. We design for Electromagnetic stress reduction. Our certified organic natural fabrics mean you will not find and flame retardants or pesticides in our mattress, bedding, rugs and window treatment. The water for bathing eliminates chlorine and drinking is filtered and have antioxidants.
ASSISTED DWELLINGS… a compact custom modular homecare facility
The Assisted Dwelling can provide family members with the opportunity to live independently in their own home but still close enough for other to provide any assistance needed. We believe health is achieved with many senses and provide a beautiful, a naturally lit nurturing.healing peaceful space. As all GREENPOD designs, this healthy is built with environmentally friendly materials, designed for energy efficiency and low maintenance. The POD interiors use no VOC (non out-gassing products) throughout the Pod. The heating and cooling system provides a healthier environment by filtering mold and mildew. These modular ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) are wheelchair accessible. All entrys thresholds are step free, wide enough providing wheel chair or walker accessibility, with lever handles are on all doors and faucets. Our bathroom features knee space under all sinks along with decorative grab bars in their curb less showers with slide bar shower heads (hand held). Our toilet seating gives easy accessibility for height at 17 – 19” with grab bars. All products are durable with antimicrobial counters and finishes. Light switches are lower and electrical outlets are higher for easy access. Each Living section has an emergency pull cords along with the option for emergency voice monitoring equipment to call for assistance. The MEDPOD design specializes in being sensitive for the concerns of day to day living, the Pod has been design to grow with the clients medical needs . Additional custom options for our “Aging In Place” option include, above the bedroom area is a support track starting in the bedroom extends to the bathroom for lift equipment (optional). Beside the bed is a built in cabinet for Oxygen storage (optional). We can provide, technical assistance with our voice activated lighting or window shades.
