Greenpod^TM Development LLC designs exclusive factory built homes that are energy efficient, sustainable, transportable, dwellings with certification of being code compliant and built green. The Greenpods^TM offer a furnishings package complete with organic towels, sheets and robes.

THE PROCESS:

Financing Package is available on request from several mortgage lenders who specialize in transportable dwellings.

Retainer to start process. $5000.00 retainer goes toward the purchase price.

Site evaluation: We note soils, slope, views, setbacks, solar orientation, covenants and other restrictions.

Customizing your plan to you budget, site and taste: We help you choose your plan and its exterior and interior finishes.

Contracts, Specifications, Warranty. Legal documentation of construction documents and payment schedules.

Securing financing and Insurance. We have several banks ready to finance your loan if necessary.

Building permits: Submission of local building permit application with site plan, foundation plans, drainage. This is an in house service if you choose.

Building the infrastructure: You are responsible to have power, sewer and water, and access and foundation. We have our contractors available at your request.

Move completed house to site: The house is slid or placed on its foundation and decks and other options are added.

PRICES:

The price range is from $100,000 to $240,000.00. We will have 3 price points for each GREENPOD^TM floor plan (6 to date) designed to fit your budget.

First, we can help you analyze your site and find out the expense to prepare for the GREENPOD^TM: the site work, bringing in utilities, and the type of foundation (all your costs). We can look at the potential for using the sun for heating and power. We also need this information for the design to comply with local building codes. After assessing that, we can help you with what works for you and your site.

Similar to any house, the floor plan size, the type of roof/window/siding (5 styles), the interior finished, the type of heating, photovoltaic, and other systems all affect the cost. The price points are $125.00, $180.00 and $250.00 per square foot. The higher price points include our green-bedroom collection with a queen mattress, and exclusive sheets, bedding, towels and robes that complete the healthy environment we have created. We are able to design anything custom obviously at a higher price. You can continue to add items from our online catalogue in the fall. We chose to factory build in order to keep the cost down and control of chemicals used in building, as well as reducing material waste. The efficiency of the house and the lack of maintenance will continue to save you money. The carefully chosen product and the effect on the environment is a gift from us.
